About
The person behind The Coastal Helper
Behind The Coastal Helper is me, Sarah, someone who genuinely enjoys bringing order to the behind-the-scenes details that help businesses run smoothly.
With many years' experience across administration, operations and digital support, I've always been happiest creating structure, solving problems and helping others feel more organised.
When I created The Coastal Helper, I wanted it to reflect the way I work: calm, thoughtful and reliable. I believe support should feel approachable, flexible and tailored to each business, whether that's helping manage day-to-day operations, keeping a website up to date or taking care of the tasks that often sit at the bottom of a busy to-do list.
Living on the Sussex coast has undoubtedly influenced the business too. There's something about the coast that encourages a calmer pace and a clearer perspective, and that's exactly the feeling I hope to bring to the businesses I support.
When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy making the most of life by the sea. The coast has always been a place where I find perspective and inspiration, and it's a constant reminder of the calm, considered approach I try to bring to my work.

How I work
I work remotely from my office in West Sussex.
I am generally available during normal office hours, but I’m always happy to adapt around the needs of a project. Whether that means attending meetings or supporting things outside the usual 9 - 5, I like to stay involved and easy to reach.
Building strong working relationships is really important to me, and I aim to work alongside clients in a way that feels supportive, reliable, and part of the wider team.
